"I shall not rest until Leeds United are kicked out of the football league. Their fans are the scum of the Earth, absolute animals and a disgrace. I will do everything in my power to make this happen"
Ken Bates, 1984

Why are we doing this?
- The club's first team players are offered no incentive to sign a renewed contract and if they do not sign, they are sold for millions (or their contract is run down) and replaced with free transfers and loans. There has been a transfer surplus of over £20 million for the last 7 seasons. Where is this money going?
- We've had 64 loans in the time the Ken Bates has been our Chairman.
- It's very likely that Bates owns Elland Road (but will deny it) and is using club funds to make improvements which will in turn increase it's value. In the meantime, the club is forced to pay extortional rent for the use of Elland Road
- It's also very likely that Bates owns Thorp Arch, which was purchased for £6m. The club is also forced to pay extortional rent for the use of it.
- He said "if you want Premiership football, you'll have to pay Premiership prices". Tickets for Doncaster Rovers are up to £38. Season tickets for new customers are £700. We've held up our part of the bargain. What has Ken done?
- The team has become worse with the passing of each of the last 3 transfer windows. In the last one, we saw our captain sold and 'replaced' with a former player who is likely to go back to Aston Villa within the next two weeks.
- Ken insults the paying customers by calling them 'morons', 'dissidents' and 'sickpots' for daring to question the way he runs our club.
- Bates says that "money received from transfers all goes into the manager's 'fighting fund' from which we pay wages and signing on fees". If that was the case, what on earth does he spend the £500k a month gate receipts on?!
- He sacks the manager with the best win percentage of any Leeds manager ever (49.7%), and replaces him with the youth coach whose managerial career has seen him grace Scarborough and Halifax Town. With a shocking record at both clubs.
I've had enough and haven't renewed my season ticket - have you had enough?
Don't let him take that money you work so hard for and let him treat loyal fans like this.
